Student Clubs

Clubs will meet once a month during SET block (8th period on Thursdays).

We will have two club meeting groups - A Group and B Group - so you are able to choose two clubs to participate in. If you don't sign up for a club, you will be assigned to a study hall during club meetings.

10th-12th graders that are presently enrolled in a choral ensemble at NSA.
This club is for students interested in conducting and specifically choral conducting. Students will work on the mechanics of conducting, such as gesture and expression. Students will also interact with other conductors and will listen to recordings of choral ensembles to learn and grow as young conductors.

The Thespian Honor Society works to produce theatrical works while also aiding our NSA and Nashville Community. Open to 10th, 11th & 12th grade music students- GPA criteria must meet requirements- must have approval before joining.
The Tri-M® Music Honor Society is a program of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), which focuses on creating future leaders in music education and music advocacy. Tri-M is the only music honor society for junior/middle school and high school students in the country.

Poetry Out Loud

Open to all
Poetry Out Loud is a national arts education program that encourages the study of great poetry by offering a dynamic recitation competition for high school students across the country. Yes, there are prizes!
This program helps students improve public speaking skills and build self-confidence. In POL, students select a poem from the POL website; they do NOT recite original poetry. Search ""Poetry Out Loud"" on YouTube for some examples of the competition!"
