Welcome to the NSA Theater Conservatory
The NSA Theatre Conservatory is a group of artists who strive to create a safe environment where students can create collaboratively as a family and a company.
Our conservatory mission is to cultivate young artists towards their professional goals while enriching their education. We strive to create works of theater that inspire, challenge, and entertain. The courses offered vary over multiple facets of theater such as Fundamentals of Acting, Shakespeare, Musical Theatre, Technical Theater and much more.
Students are given the opportunity to work with professionals from local companies like Nashville Repertory Theatre and actors who have worked professionally on and off Broadway. Graduates have gone on to book Broadway tours and even TV shows like Stranger Things.
Theatre Audition Requirements
After you have applied to NSA through the school options process, you will receive a link within 24 to 48 hours to schedule your in-person audition. Check your spam folder if you don't see the link.
Day of Audition & Interview
Arrive early, dress appropriately, and be prepared to discuss why you would like to come to NSA, your musical & academic goals, and what positive qualities you have to offer NSA
Audition Components
- Cold read with a current NSA student.
- A one-minute monologue.
- A 16-measure cut from a musical (optional).
- Recommendation from a current teacher.
- Interview with Ms. Ferguson.
